To the Editor:
The Jan. 4 news article "You Won't Stay the Same, Study Finds" is one of the best I have read in some time.
The idea that people are more willing to reflect on previous years and laugh in good spirits at the person they were rather than look ahead and predict anything other than positivity is very interesting because it shows how eager we are, at every age, to feel that we have acquired all of the knowledge we will need to see us through life.
A 20-year-old does not get a face full of piercings and a body full of tattoos because he thinks at 30 he will know better.
