To the Editor:

"Engineering Serendipity," by Greg Lindsay (Sunday Review, April 7), makes an excellent case for live workplace interaction as a way to generate innovation. Perhaps intended, Mr. Lindsay is also making an excellent argument against massive open online courses, or MOOCs, and in favor of live classroom interaction between professors and students. Long live serendipity.
