Fund Obamacare, or stand with conservatives? Whose side are you on? #tcot #teaparty #gop #txsen #txgop http://t.co/gmpF6x9CAc

Senator John Cornyn's longshot challenger in the 2014 Texas Republican primary, Rep. Steve Stockman, is milking the Phil Robertson controversy for all it's worth.
As anyone who's dipped into the maw of the Internet this week surely knows, Mr. Robertson is the "Duck Dynasty" star who said in a GQ interview that "homosexual behavior" could easily "morph" into "bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men."
After GLAAD complained, the network that airs "Duck Dynasty," A&E, suspended Mr. Robertson for an indefinite period of time—setting up a predictable conservative backlash. Sarah Palin, as well as people who should theoretically have a better grasp of the law such as Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, cast the controversy as a First Amendment issue. (Whatever you think of A&E's decision, it's silly to suggest that the Constitution guarantees the right to appear on reality television.)
Anyway, Mr. Stockman's communication director, Donny Ferguson, yesterday urged supporters to "Stand with Phil!" on the Stockman2014 site , claiming that all poor Phil ever did was voice "his personal religious beliefs" and share "what the Bible says about homosexuality."
Then today Mr. Ferguson sent out a photo on Twitter distilling the Stockman-Cornyn race to a culture war between those who side with Mr. Robertson and those who side with … Pajama Boy.
Backing up again: "Pajama Boy" is the nickname-de-Internet of a young Organizing for America volunteer who posed for a health-insurance ad in black hipster glasses and a plaid onesie—setting up a predictable conservative backlash, in this case of the ridicule variety.
The Pajama-Boy/Phil Robertson poster is sort of funny. It's a quick attempt to capitalize on the week's most prominent Internet scandals.
But Mr. Stockman is unlikely to convince anyone that Mr. Cornyn is a Pajama Boy in disguise (he recently called the Affordable Care Act the "biggest case of consumer fraud ever perpetrated in this country" and has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association, for Pete's sake!)
And is it really wise for Mr. Stockman to sell himself as the Phil Robertson of the Texas primary? Texas may not be anywhere close to allowing same-sex marriage, but that doesn't mean the state wants a senator who associates homosexuality with bestiality.
