To the Editor:
"Room Service, Please!" (letter, June 14) gave me great cause to chuckle. The writer recalls the glory of ordering room service when vacationing with his parents at a Las Vegas hotel. My memory is of ordering room service during my family's vacations on lovely Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.
We arrived by subway, trekked to wherever we could cast our blankets and enjoy the tropical breezes of Jamaica Bay. Room service was the knish man and the Good Humor guy wearing a pith helmet. Ahhh, those were the days.
