To the Editor:
I was surprised that your unflattering article about the Clinton Foundation ("Unease at Clinton Foundation Over Finances and Ambitions," front page, Aug. 14) made reference to my company's pro bono work in Haiti as if it were somehow enabled by the financial consulting firm Teneo or was some sort of benefit bestowed upon us as a result of a business relationship with it. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Notwithstanding the immense needs that remain three years after the earthquake that devastated the Haitian capital, charitable work in Haiti these days has become a fairly lonely business. I know this because I was in Haiti earlier this month. Most aid agencies have cut and run with a severe case of donor fatigue, but not the Clintons or the Clinton Foundation.
We are immensely proud of the work that we have done and continue to do in Haiti in partnership with the Clinton Foundation.
